    • All Individual / Joint Savings and Current Account holders.
    • All Corporate Customers.
  7. How do I apply for Internet Banking - Interactive Information Exchange Service - Customer Information System (IIES-CIS)?
    • Please download the Registration form / Terms & Conditions document on-line, fill up the necessary information, signed and submit both the documents to: Internet Banking Cell,Indian Bank,3 RAFFLES PLACE,#03-02,Bharat Building,SINGAPORE 048617
    • Alternatively blank Registration form / Terms & Conditions documents are also available at the Main office and at our Serangoon Remittance Centre
  8. When can I start using the Internet Banking - Interactive Information Exchange Service - Customer Information System (IIES-CIS)?
    • The Bank needs at least 2 working days to process the Registration form. A system-generated password with your user id will be mailed to you thru a pin-mailer (please correctly indicate your mailing address in the Registration form).
    • On receipt of the PIN-mailer, please despatch to the Bank the Pin mailer / Receipt / Acceptance form duly signed. This is to ensure that the rightful person receives the PIN. Thereafter the Bank will activate your PIN.
    • Login to our web site / Internet Banking link and enter the user id / password given in the pin-mailer and the system will prompt you to change your password and please change your password.
    • Now you can start using the Internet Banking.

    • All Account information is updated once every day in the morning, before the commencement of business. Hence the balance available will be as per the close of business hours of previous day / last working day. 
  11. Is the Balance shown Real-Time /On-Line?
    • No, the balance shown will be as per the close of business hours of previous day.
  12. What if I observe any discrepancy in my outstanding balance or statement of account?
    • Immediately contact the Bank for immediate verification / rectification.
  13. Is this website transactional?
    • No, currently Internet Banking - Interactive Information Exchange Service - Customer Information System (IIES-CIS) is designed as Informational Service only.
  14. Can I issue instructions for payments to the Bank?
    • No, the Internet Banking - Interactive Information Exchange Service - Customer Information System (IIES-CIS) is an Informational Service. The service available is only for viewing and printing of account information.
  15. Can I view the account balances of my accounts with any other branch of Indian Bank in India?
    • No, you can only view the account balances with the Singapore Branch only.
  16. How many days of my transactions are available for viewing?
    • Under Account Balance Enquiry - you may view your transactions for the last 1 month.
    • Under Transaction History - you may view your transactions for the last 3 months.
  17. How can I print my statement of account?
    • There is a printer icon displayed on the view page, by clicking on it, the print out will be directed to your default printer.

  18. What is my login id?
    • The login id is your 6 digit account number and it cannot be changed.
  19. When should I change my password?
    • You should change your password immediately upon first login and as and when you wish to change thru change password option.

  20. How secure is Internet Banking - Interactive Information Exchange Service - Customer Information System (IIES-CIS)?
    • This service employs the 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which is one of the strongest encryption technology most commonly used by large-scale online merchants, banks and brokerages worldwide. All online sessions between you and the bank are protected with 128-bit encryption, which best protects your information.
  21. What is encryption and how is it used to protect my information?
    • Encryption is a method of scrambling your information to protect its transmission across the Internet. Encryption transforms data into an unreadable form and decryption reverses that process. Both encryption and decryption require the use of special code, usually referred to as a Key.
    • The encryption of Data provides a strong degree of protection against tampering while data is moving through the Internet.
  22. How do I activate Secure Socket layer (SSL)?
    • Use the appropriate option under tools / Internet options to activate.
  23. How do I know that communication with Internet Banking - Interactive Information Exchange Service - Customer Information System (IIES-CIS) is secured with 128-bit encryption?
    • Ensure before login that you see the word 'http' is changed into 'https' in the address bar of your browser and also you will be able to see a gold colour lock appearing in the status bar for IE users and for Netscape users you will be able to see a padlock in the lower left corner of the Navigator window which will be closed instead of being open.
  24. What precautions can I take for this on-line service?
    • Do not reveal your ID and Password to anyone, do not write down.
    • Change your password IMMEDIATELY, using the "Change Password" service, if you suspect it has been revealed.
    • Do not use easily recognised numbers such as your NRIC, telephone numbers etc as your password.
    • Remember to Log Out of the system and close your browser whenever you leave your computer.
    • Clear your browser's cache on a regular basis so that your account information is removed.
    • If you are using Internet explorer:
      Go to tools >> Internet Options >> Content
      Under "Personal Information" click on "Auto Complete"
      Uncheck "User Names and Passwords on Forms"
      Click on "Clear Passwords"
      Click OK to save settings
    • If you are using Netscape:
      Go to Netscape or Edit and select preferences.
      Double Click on "privacy and security""
      Ensure that "Remember passwords" under "Password Manager" is unchecked.
